If you're driving from Reno, take I-580 South. Merge onto NV-431 W/Mt Rose Hwy via Exit 61 toward Mt. Rose Ski Area. Continue on Mt Rose Hwy for about 10 miles. The Galena Creek Visitor Center will be on your right at 18250 Mt Rose Hwy, Reno, NV 89511. Look for the signs indicating the visitor center.
