Getting There

• Car

  If you are traveling by car, start by navigating to Kancamagus Highway (NH-112). Depending on your location in the White Mountains, you can access the Kancamagus Highway from major routes such as NH-16 or NH-302. Once on Kancamagus Highway, head east or west based on your starting point. Lower Falls Recreation Site is located at the coordinates (44.016426, -71.246158) along Kancamagus Highway. Look for the parking area on the north side of the road, which is well marked. There is no entry fee to access the recreation site. Parking is available but can fill up quickly during peak tourist seasons, so plan to arrive early.

• Public Transportation

  For those using public transportation, you can take a bus to North Conway, NH, which is the nearest larger town to the White Mountains. From North Conway, you will need to arrange a taxi or rideshare service to take you to the Lower Falls Recreation Site, as there are no direct public transportation options available to the site itself.   If you are feeling adventurous, biking is another option. You can rent a bike in North Conway and ride along Kancamagus Highway.
