Walking
If you're starting from the Cape May Convention Hall, head north on Beach Avenue. Walk until you reach the intersection with Lafayette Street and turn left. Continue on Lafayette Street until you reach the intersection with Route 9 (New Jersey Avenue). Cross over to the other side of Route 9. You will see signs for Higbee Beach Wildlife Management Area. Follow the signs leading you onto the Higbee Beach trail. The area is approximately 1.5 miles from the Convention Hall.

Rent a bike from one of the local rental shops in Cape May. Start from the Cape May Promenade, riding north on Beach Avenue. When you reach the intersection with Lafayette Street, turn left.
