Getting There

Public Bus
From downtown Paterson, head to the nearest bus stop along Market Street. Look for the NJ Transit bus route 161, which departs frequently. Board the bus and stay on for approximately 25 minutes. Get off at the Port Authority Bus Terminal in New York City. Once at the terminal, exit onto 8th Avenue and walk towards 42nd Street. Transfer to the subway by following the signs for the 1, 2, or 3 trains at the Times Square-42nd Street station. Take the subway towards downtown and get off at the Wall Street station. From there, walk east on Wall Street until you reach Liberty Street. Turn left, and 28 Liberty Street will be on your left.

Train
From Paterson's train station, board a NJ Transit train on the North Jersey Coast Line or the Bergen County Line heading towards Hoboken. The trip takes about 20 minutes. Once you arrive at Hoboken, transfer to the PATH train heading to World Trade Center. After a ride of about 15 minutes, get off at the World Trade Center station. From there, exit the station and walk towards Liberty Street. Turn left, and 28 Liberty Street will be on your left.

Walking
If you prefer to walk, start from the Great Falls National Historical Park in Paterson. Head south on McBride Avenue until you reach Main Street. Turn left and follow Main Street until you reach the Paterson Train Station. From there, take the NJ Transit train as described above. Alternatively, you can walk to the nearest NJ Transit bus station and take a bus as previously described.

Bicycle
If you're feeling adventurous and have access to a bicycle, you can ride from Paterson to New York City. Start by heading south on Market Street until you reach the Passaic River. Follow the river towards the pedestrian path leading to the George Washington Bridge. Cross the bridge and follow the signs to the Hudson River Greenway, which will lead you into Manhattan. Once in Manhattan, navigate towards the Financial District and follow the signs to 28 Liberty Street.
