Car
If you're traveling by car, head towards Cape May by taking the Garden State Parkway (GSP). If you're coming from the north, take Exit 0 toward Cape May. Continue on Route 109 until you reach the end of the road, then follow the signs to the Cape May Lighthouse. The address is 215 Light House Ave, Cape May, NJ 08204. There is a small parking area near the lighthouse that is free for visitors.
Public Transportation
You can take NJ Transit buses from various locations in South Jersey to Cape May. Specifically, take the Route 552 bus to the Cape May terminal. From the terminal, the Cape May Lighthouse is about a 15-minute walk. Head north on Lafayette Street, then take a left on Light House Avenue, which will lead you directly to the lighthouse. Make sure to check the NJ Transit schedule for current bus times and any potential fares.
Biking
If you're feeling adventurous, biking to the Cape May Lighthouse is a great option! There are bike rental shops in Cape May, and the area is bike-friendly. From downtown Cape May, you can bike to the lighthouse, which is approximately 2 miles away. Just follow the signs to the lighthouse along the scenic coastal route.
Walking
If you are staying in Cape May, walking to the lighthouse is a pleasant option. From the downtown area, it's about a 30-minute walk. Head north on Washington Street, then continue onto Lafayette Street. After passing through the Cape May Point State Park, take a left onto Light House Avenue, and you'll arrive at the Cape May Lighthouse.
