Getting There

• Car

  If you are driving from anywhere in South Jersey, take the Garden State Parkway northbound. Depending on your starting point, you may need to merge onto Route 30 (Absecon Boulevard) or Route 40 towards Atlantic City. Once you reach Atlantic City, follow signs for the Atlantic City Boardwalk. Continue toward the beach and turn onto New Hampshire Avenue. Gardners Basin is located on the waterfront, and you can park at nearby lots, which may incur a parking fee (approximately $5-$10).

• Public Transportation (Bus)

  To reach Gardners Basin via public transport, you can take the NJ Transit bus service (Route 559) that operates from various locations in South Jersey, such as Camden or Trenton. Make sure to check the bus schedule for the latest times. Disembark at the Atlantic City Bus Terminal, then transfer to the Atlantic City Jitney, which costs around $2.25. Take the Jitney to the Atlantic City Marina District, and get off at the stop closest to New Hampshire Avenue. From there, it's a short walk to Gardners Basin.

• Train

  If you're coming from Philadelphia or other areas served by Amtrak or NJ Transit, take a train to Atlantic City. The Atlantic City Rail Line provides service to the Atlantic City station. From the station, you can take a cab or rideshare service for about $10 to Gardners Basin. Alternatively, take the NJ Transit bus #1 from the train station directly to the area, but be aware of the bus schedule for return trips.
