Getting There

Car
From the main entrance of Bandelier National Monument, take NM-4 N (also known as the Los Alamos Highway) for approximately 10 miles. Follow the signs for White Rock. After entering White Rock, turn left onto Overlook Road. Continue on Overlook Road for about 1 mile, and you will arrive at Overlook Park, located at 580 Overlook Rd, White Rock, NM 87544. Parking is available at the park entrance.

Public Transportation
While there is no direct public transportation from Bandelier National Monument to Overlook Park, you can take the Los Alamos Shuttle from the visitor center near the park. Board the shuttle heading towards Los Alamos. You will need to get off at the White Rock stop. From there, Overlook Park is about a 15-minute walk. Walk north on NM-4 for approximately half a mile, then turn left onto Overlook Road. Walk along Overlook Road for about 0.7 miles to reach the park. Please check the shuttle schedule in advance to plan your trip accordingly.

Bicycle
For the more adventurous, you can bike from Bandelier National Monument to Overlook Park. Start on NM-4 N, heading towards White Rock. The ride is approximately 10 miles and mostly downhill, making it a scenic route. Make sure to wear a helmet and follow safety regulations. Once you reach White Rock, turn onto Overlook Road and proceed to the park. Ensure your bike is in good working condition and you have water and snacks for the journey.
