If you are driving from the center of Jemez Springs, begin at the Jemez Springs Plaza. Head southwest on NM-4 for approximately 4.5 miles. Look for the signs for Spence Hot Springs, and turn right onto a dirt road that leads into the forest. The road is not paved, so drive carefully. After about 0.5 miles, you will see a parking area on your left. Park your vehicle here as the hot springs are located a short hike from the parking area.

Currently, there is limited public transportation available directly to Spence Hot Springs. However, you can take a shuttle or a bus service to Jemez Springs from nearby cities like Santa Fe. Once in Jemez Springs, you can use a local taxi service or rideshare app to reach NM-4. From there, follow the instructions for driving to the parking area as mentioned above. Be advised that you may incur costs for the shuttle and taxi services.
