Getting There

  • Bus

    Start your journey at the Las Cruces Downtown Transit Center located at 300 E Las Cruces Ave. Take the RoadRUNNER Transit Route 1 (which runs every 30 minutes) heading east towards the Las Cruces High School. Get off at the stop near the intersection of Telshor Blvd and Dripping Springs Rd. From this point, you will need to walk approximately 1.5 miles northeast along Dripping Springs Rd until you reach Dripping Springs Natural Area, which is located at 15000 Dripping Springs Rd. Follow the road signs for the Natural Area.

  • Bicycle

    If you prefer cycling, rent a bicycle from one of the local rental shops in downtown Las Cruces. Begin your ride at the Las Cruces Plaza (100 N Main St) and head east on Main St. Continue straight on Main St until you reach the intersection with University Ave, where you will turn right. Follow University Ave until it turns into Dripping Springs Rd. Continue on Dripping Springs Rd for about 4 miles until you arrive at the entrance of Dripping Springs Natural Area at 15000 Dripping Springs Rd.

  • Walking

    For the adventurous walkers, start at the Las Cruces Plaza (100 N Main St). Head northeast on Main St towards University Ave. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with University Ave and turn right. Walk along University Ave until it merges into Dripping Springs Rd. The walk is approximately 4.5 miles and will take around 1.5 hours. Continue along Dripping Springs Rd until you reach Dripping Springs Natural Area located at 15000 Dripping Springs Rd.
