Getting There

  • Public Bus

    Start your journey at the Las Cruces Transportation Center located at 300 W Lohman Ave. Board the Road Runner Transit bus line 1, which departs regularly. Ensure that you check the schedule for the correct times. You'll want to ride the bus until you reach the stop at Elks Lodge, which is the closest stop to Soledad Canyon. From there, you will have approximately a 3.2-mile walk to the Soledad Canyon Day Use Area. Head northeast on E University Ave and take a left onto S Valley Dr. Continue on S Valley Dr for about 1.5 miles until you reach the intersection with W Amador Ave. Turn right onto W Amador Ave, and follow it until you reach Soledad Canyon Road. Finally, turn left onto Soledad Canyon Road, and you will find the entrance to the Soledad Canyon Day Use Area on your left.

Start at the Las Cruces Transportation Center and head east on E University Ave. Continue straight until you reach S Valley Dr. Turn left onto S Valley Dr, and follow it until you reach W Amador Ave. From here, turn right and continue until you can turn left onto Soledad Canyon Road. The Soledad Canyon Day Use Area will be on your left after a short ride.

Begin by heading southeast on E Main St towards S Water St. Turn left onto S Water St and continue until you reach E University Ave. Turn right on E University Ave, then left onto S Valley Dr. Continue walking on S Valley Dr until you reach the intersection with W Amador Ave. Turn right on W Amador Ave, and then left onto Soledad Canyon Road. The Soledad Canyon Day Use Area will be on your left after a short walk.
