Getting There

  • Walking

    If you are in downtown Ruidoso, start at the Ruidoso Convention Center located at 720 Sudderth Dr. Walk east on Sudderth Dr. for about 0.5 miles until you reach the intersection with Mechem Dr. Turn left onto Mechem Dr. and continue for another 0.4 miles. You will pass several shops and restaurants along the way. After crossing the intersection with Highway 70, continue straight. The Lincoln Historic Site will be on your right after approximately 1.5 miles.

  • Public Transit

    From the Ruidoso Village bus stop located at 1000 Mechem Dr, take the Ruidoso Public Transit service heading towards the Lincoln Historic Site. The bus will take you directly along Highway 70 towards Lincoln. Make sure to check the bus schedule for departure times. The journey will take approximately 30 minutes, and you will get off at the Lincoln Historic Site stop. The site is located on Highway 380 Mm 97, right across from the bus stop.

  • Biking

    For an adventurous ride, you can rent a bike from a local rental shop in Ruidoso. Start at the Ruidoso Bike Shop located at 1106 Mechem Dr. Head north on Mechem Dr. and ride for about 1.5 miles until you reach the intersection with Highway 380. Turn left onto Highway 380 and continue for about 4 miles. The Lincoln Historic Site will be on your left. Be cautious as you ride along the highway and watch for traffic.
