Turn left onto Old Santa Fe Trail. After 0.7 miles, turn right onto Upper Canyon Road. Look for the Dale Ball Trails parking area on your left. There are no parking fees at the trailhead.

    For public transportation, take the Santa Fe Trails bus system. Bus Route 3 connects various parts of Santa Fe and you can take it to the St. Michael's Drive stop. From there, it is about a 15-minute walk to the trailhead. Head north on St. Michael's Drive, then turn left onto Old Santa Fe Trail, and finally right onto Upper Canyon Road.
