If you are traveling by car, start from the center of any town in the Adirondack Mountains, such as Lake Placid or Saranac Lake. Head south on Route 73 or Route 86 until you reach the junction with Route 9. Take Route 9 south towards Elizabethtown. Continue on Route 9 for approximately 14 miles until you reach the intersection with Court Street (Route 12). Turn left onto Court Street. The Adirondack History Museum will be on your right at 7590 Court St, Elizabethtown, NY 12932. There is free parking available at the museum.

You can take a bus to Elizabethtown. Once you arrive at the bus stop in Elizabethtown, the museum is about a 10-minute walk. Head south on Main Street, then turn left onto Court Street.
