Getting There

  • Car

    If you're driving from Lake Placid, head south on NY-73. After approximately 30 miles, merge onto NY-9N S towards Ticonderoga. Continue on NY-9N S for another 23 miles until you reach Ticonderoga. Follow signs for Fort Ticonderoga, turning right onto Fort Ti Rd. The fort will be on your left at 102 Fort Ti Rd, Ticonderoga, NY 12883. There is parking available on-site, and a small parking fee of around $5 may apply.

    From Lake Placid, take a bus operated by Adirondack Trailways to Ticonderoga. The bus usually takes about 1.5 to 2 hours. Once you arrive in Ticonderoga, you can either take a taxi or rideshare service to reach Fort Ticonderoga, which is about a 5-minute drive from the bus station.
