If you are traveling by car, you can easily reach Fort Ticonderoga from various locations in the Adirondack Mountains. For example, if you are coming from Lake Placid, take NY-73 W for about 20 miles. Continue on NY-73 W until you reach the junction with NY-9N. Merge onto NY-9N S, then turn right onto NY-74 W. Follow NY-74 W for approximately 25 miles until you arrive in Ticonderoga. In Ticonderoga, continue straight on NY-74 W until you reach Fort Ti Rd, then turn left. The fort will be on your right at 102 Fort Ti Rd, Ticonderoga, NY 12883. Parking is available on-site, and there may be a nominal fee for parking, so be prepared with some cash or a credit card.
