From downtown Albany, walk to the nearest bus stop along Washington Avenue. Take the CDTA Route 10 bus towards the Albany Airport. Ride the bus for about 15 minutes and get off at the stop at Livingston Avenue & Judson Street. From there, walk east on Judson Street for a few minutes until you reach the entrance to Tivoli Lake Preserve.

If you prefer cycling, rent a bike from one of the local bike-share programs. Start at a central location like the Albany Pine Bush Preserve Visitor Center. Head southwest on New Karner Road, then take a right onto Washington Avenue. Continue until you reach Livingston Avenue, where you will turn left. Follow Livingston Avenue until you reach Judson Street. The entrance to Tivoli Lake Preserve will be on your left.

If you're up for a walk, start at the Empire State Plaza in downtown Albany. Walk east toward Washington Avenue, then head south on South Pearl Street. Continue until you reach Livingston Avenue. Turn left on Livingston Avenue and walk down until you reach Judson Street. The entrance to Tivoli Lake Preserve will be on your left.
