Walking
From the center of University Heights, head west on Main Street towards the intersection with Kensington Avenue. Once you reach the intersection, turn left onto Kensington Avenue and continue walking until you reach the stop for the NFTA Metro Bus on Kensington Ave. Take the Metro Bus Route 8 towards Buffalo. Stay on the bus for approximately 20 minutes. Get off at the stop near the intersection of Main Street and Prime Street. From there, it’s a short walk to the Buffalo Heritage Carousel located at 44 Prime St, Buffalo, NY 14202. Just head south on Prime Street, and you will reach the carousel in about 5 minutes.

Public Transit (NFTA Metro)
If you are near the University Heights campus, walk to the nearest NFTA Metro Rail station, which is the University Station. Board the train heading towards the Canalside Station. This journey will take about 30 minutes. Once you arrive at the Canalside Station, exit the station and walk towards Prime Street. The Buffalo Heritage Carousel is located at 44 Prime St, which is about a 10-minute walk from the station.

If you're comfortable biking, you can rent a bike from one of the local bike-sharing programs available in University Heights. Start by heading west on Main Street until you reach Kensington Avenue. Turn left onto Kensington Avenue and continue towards downtown. Follow the bike lanes until you reach the area near Canalside, then navigate to Prime Street. The Buffalo Heritage Carousel will be located at 44 Prime St. The bike ride will take approximately 25-30 minutes depending on your speed.
