If you are starting from the center of Ithaca, head east on E State St toward N Aurora St. Continue to follow NY-79 E for about 3 miles. Turn left onto E Buttermilk Falls Rd, and the park entrance will be on your right in about 1 mile. There is no admission fee for Buttermilk Falls State Park, but parking is $8 per vehicle, so make sure to have cash or a credit card ready.

From downtown Ithaca, take the TCAT bus route 12, which goes to Buttermilk Falls State Park. The bus departs from the TCAT bus station. The ride takes approximately 20 minutes. Make sure to check the TCAT schedule for the latest timings. A one-way fare is $1.50, and you can pay with cash or a TCAT pass.
