    From Fire Island, drive to the nearest ferry terminal, either in Sayville or Patchogue, depending on your location on the island. Take the ferry back to the mainland, which costs around $20 for a round trip. Once you arrive at the terminal, head to the New York State Route 27 (Sunrise Highway). Merge onto Route 27 West and continue for approximately 10 miles. Take exit 50 for NY-85 N toward Oakdale. Follow this road until you reach Connetquot River State Park Preserve, located at 4090 Sunrise Hwy, Oakdale, NY 11769. Parking is available on site.

    From Fire Island, take the ferry back to the mainland (costing around $20 for a round trip).
