Getting There

• Walking

  From the center of Hudson, head south on Warren Street until you reach the intersection with Route 9. Turn left onto Route 9 and continue walking for about 1.5 miles. You will pass through residential areas and some scenic views of the Hudson River. Keep walking until you reach the intersection with Spring Street in Catskill. Turn right onto Spring Street and walk for a few blocks until you reach 218 Spring St, where the Thomas Cole National Historic Site is located.

• Bicycle

  If you prefer cycling, rent a bike in Hudson and head south on Warren Street. Follow the same route as walking, but you can take advantage of bike lanes where available. After turning left onto Route 9, maintain a steady pace for about 1.5 miles. Once you've reached the Spring Street intersection, turn right and continue cycling until you arrive at 218 Spring St, the Thomas Cole National Historic Site.

• Public Transit (Bus)

  To reach the Thomas Cole National Historic Site by public transport, start at the Hudson Amtrak Station. From there, board the CDTA Bus Route 22 towards Catskill. Stay on the bus for approximately 30 minutes until you reach the Spring Street stop in Catskill. Once you disembark, walk a few blocks down Spring Street until you arrive at 218 Spring St, where the site is located.
