If you're driving, head towards Centerport, NY. The Vanderbilt Museum and Planetarium is located at 180 Little Neck Rd, Centerport, NY 11721. From the Long Island Expressway (I-495), take exit 51 for NY-110 N. Continue on NY-110 N, then make a right onto NY-25 W. Follow NY-25 W and make a left onto Little Neck Rd. The museum will be on your right. There is a parking lot available for visitors, and parking is free.

For those using public transportation, take the Long Island Rail Road (LIRR) from your starting point to the Huntington Station. From there, you can catch the Suffolk County Transit Bus S40 towards Northport. Get off at the Little Neck Rd stop, which is a short walk from the Vanderbilt Museum and Planetarium. Make sure to check the LIRR schedule for train times and the S40 bus schedule for connection times. A single ride on the LIRR can cost approximately $10-15 depending on your starting location, and the bus fare is about $2.75.
