    If you're starting from New York City, take the Long Island Rail Road (LIRR) from Penn Station to the Great River Station. The trains are frequent, and the journey takes about 1 hour. Once you arrive at Great River Station, exit the station and walk south on the station road until you reach the intersection with Montauk Highway (Route 27A). Turn left onto Montauk Highway and walk approximately 0.6 miles until you reach the entrance of Bayard Cutting Arboretum on your right.
