Start from the center of Montauk at the Montauk Train Station. Head southeast on Station Rd. towards Montauk Hwy (NY-27). Once you reach Montauk Hwy, turn left and head east. Walk along Montauk Hwy for about 1 mile until you reach the intersection with E Main St. Turn right onto E Main St. Continue walking straight for about 1.5 miles, and you will arrive at the Mystic River Bascule Bridge, which is located on E Main St.
