Public Transportation - Bus
To reach Rosamond Gifford Zoo via public transportation, first find your nearest Centro bus stop. Depending on your location in Syracuse, you may take either the Route 10 (which goes directly to the zoo) or Route 5. If taking Route 10, board the bus at your nearest stop and stay on until you reach the 'Conservation Place' stop. This is the closest stop to the zoo. From there, you will walk approximately 0.2 miles (about 5 minutes) to the entrance of the zoo located at 1 Conservation Pl. If you are on Route 5, get off at the nearest stop and transfer to Route 10. Make sure to check the Centro website for the latest schedules and any service alerts.

Walking
If you are already in the vicinity of the zoo and prefer to walk, head towards '1 Conservation Pl, Syracuse, NY 13204'. From downtown Syracuse, you can walk west along W Genesee St. After about 1 mile, turn right onto S Geddes St, then continue straight until you reach the zoo. The zoo will be on your left after you cross the intersection at Conservation Pl. This walk will take approximately 20-25 minutes, depending on your pace.

For those who prefer cycling, you can rent a bike from a local bike-sharing service or use your own. Start from downtown Syracuse and ride west on W Genesee St. Continue straight for about 1 mile, then turn right onto S Geddes St. Follow this road until you see the entrance to the zoo at 1 Conservation Pl. This route is approximately 1.5 miles and should take about 10-15 minutes, depending on your speed and cycling conditions.
