From White Plains, head to the White Plains Metro-North train station. Board a southbound train on the Hudson Line towards Grand Central Terminal. The ride will take approximately 30 minutes. Disembark at the 42nd Street - Grand Central station. Once at Grand Central, follow the signs to the S (Shuttle) train towards Times Square. Get off at the next stop, and transfer to the 1 train towards South Ferry. Ride the train for 9 stops and get off at the 14th Street station. Exit the station and walk south on 7th Avenue. Continue for about 3 blocks until you reach 178 7th Ave S, Village Vanguard will be on your right.

Once at the subway station, transfer to the 1 train towards South Ferry. Ride for 10 stops and get off at the 14th Street station. After exiting the station, walk south on 7th Avenue for about 3 blocks until you reach 178 7th Ave S. The Village Vanguard will be on your right.
