Train
From White Plains, head to the White Plains Metro-North train station located at 1 Railroad Ave. Purchase a ticket to New York City. Board a southbound train on the Hudson Line towards Grand Central Terminal. The journey takes about 30 minutes. Once you arrive at Grand Central, exit the station and head to 42nd Street. Walk west toward 6th Avenue, then take the subway (1 line) from 42nd Street/Times Square to 14th Street. Exit at 14th Street and walk south toward Christopher Street, which should take about 10 minutes.
Bus
From White Plains, take the Bee-Line Bus #1 or #5 from the White Plains Bus Terminal. Make sure to check the schedule for the bus frequency. The bus will take you to the New York City border. Once you reach 42nd Street in Manhattan, transfer to the subway (1 line) at 42nd Street/Times Square and head south to 14th Street. Exit at 14th Street and walk south to Christopher Street, which is about a 10-minute walk.

If you find yourself in downtown White Plains, you can walk to the White Plains Metro-North train station at 1 Railroad Ave. From there, follow the directions for the train option above. Note that this is a longer route and may not be practical if you're carrying luggage.
