Getting There

  • Subway

    From Yonkers, head to the Yonkers Metro-North train station located at 1 Larkin Plaza. Purchase a ticket to Grand Central Terminal in Manhattan. Once on the train, enjoy the scenic ride which takes approximately 30 minutes. Upon arriving at Grand Central, follow the signs to the subway station and take the 7 train towards Flushing - Main St. Get off at the 34th Street - Hudson Yards station. Transfer to the A train towards Inwood - 207th St. and get off at the Chambers St. station. From Chambers St., walk towards West Street and head south for about 10 minutes until you reach Battery Park City.

  • Bus

    Start at the Yonkers Public Library on 1 Larkin Center and catch the Bee-Line Bus #1 towards the Bronx. Stay on the bus for about 30 minutes until you reach the last stop at the Metro-North Railroad Station. From there, transfer to the Metro-North train heading to Grand Central Terminal in Manhattan. Once you arrive at Grand Central, exit the station and take the 7 subway train towards Flushing - Main St. Get off at the 34th Street - Hudson Yards and transfer to the A train towards Inwood - 207th St. Get off at Chambers St. and walk south towards Battery Park City for approximately 10 minutes.

    If you are up for a longer trek, start from the Yonkers waterfront by heading south along the Hudson River. Walk along the RiverWalk path which will lead you through scenic views. Continue walking for about 3 miles until you reach the Manhattan Bridge. Cross the bridge into Manhattan, and once you reach the other side, follow signs to Battery Park City, which is about a 15-minute walk from the bridge.
