Getting There

  • Train

    From Yonkers, head to the Yonkers Metro-North train station located at 1 Hudson St, Yonkers, NY 10701. Take the Hudson Line train towards Grand Central Terminal. After approximately 30 minutes, get off at the 125th Street station in Manhattan. From there, transfer to the 4, 5, or 6 subway lines at the 125th Street subway station, heading south. Take the subway to the 14th Street-Union Square station. Once you exit the station, walk east on 14th Street until you reach 4th Street, then turn right on 4th Street. The Merchant's House Museum will be on your left at 29 E 4th St.

  • Bus

    You can take the Bee-Line Bus #1 from the Yonkers area. Board the bus at the nearest stop to your location heading towards the downtown Yonkers area. The bus will take you to the Yonkers Transit Center. From the Transit Center, transfer to the MTA Bus #M7 or M102 towards Manhattan. Get off at the stop at 4th Street and 2nd Avenue. From there, walk west on 4th Street until you reach the Merchant's House Museum located at 29 E 4th St.

    If you are close to the downtown Yonkers area, you can walk to the Yonkers Metro-North train station at 1 Hudson St, Yonkers, NY 10701.
