Public Transit - Metro-North Railroad
Start at Yonkers Metro-North Station. Take the Hudson Line train towards Grand Central Terminal. After about 20 minutes, get off at Newark Penn Station. From there, exit the station and walk to the PATH train station inside Penn Station. Take the PATH train towards World Trade Center and get off at the 33rd Street Station. From there, transfer to the NJ Transit train towards Newark and alight at Newark Penn Station. Finally, walk to Military Park, which is approximately a 10-minute walk from the station.

Public Transit - NJ Transit Bus
From the Yonkers Transit Center, take NJ Transit Bus 5 towards Newark. The bus will take approximately 30-40 minutes. Get off at the stop near Broad Street and Market Street. From there, walk towards Military Park, which is about a 5-minute walk. Follow Park Place until you reach the park entrance.

Walking from Yonkers
If you prefer to walk, start from the Yonkers riverfront and head south along the Hudson River. Follow the riverwalk to connect to the Hudson River Greenway. Continue walking south until you reach the George Washington Bridge pathway. Cross the bridge and follow signs to Newark. This is a long walk (approximately 12 miles) and may take 3-4 hours, so it’s better suited for those who enjoy long hikes.
