From the CBD, head north on George Street towards the intersection with St Andrew Street. Turn left onto St Andrew Street and continue straight until you reach the intersection with Albany Street. Turn right onto Albany Street, then take the first left onto Royal Terrace. Continue walking for about 10 minutes, and you will see Olveston Historic Home on your right at 42 Royal Terrace.

You can catch the bus from the CBD at the Exchange bus stop. Board the bus that heads towards 'Dunedin North' and confirm with the driver that they stop at Royal Terrace. The fare is around NZD 2.50 to NZD 4.00 depending on your exact starting point. After about a 10-15 minute ride, disembark at the stop closest to Royal Terrace. From there, walk a short distance to reach Olveston Historic Home.
