    From Paihia, walk to the Paihia Bus Stop located on Williams Road near the waterfront. Catch the Intercity or Northland bus heading towards Ōkaihau. The bus ride will take approximately 45 minutes. Inform the driver that you want to get off at Waiare Road. Once you arrive at the stop, walk about 1.5 kilometers down Waiare Road. You will see the entrance to Kauri Walk on your left.

  • Bicycle

    Rent a bicycle from one of the local shops in Paihia. Start your journey by heading south on the Paihia waterfront promenade. Follow the signs for the cycle path towards Ōkaihau. The ride is approximately 12 kilometers and will take about 45 minutes to an hour. You will need to turn left onto Waiare Road when you see the sign for Kauri Walk. The entrance will be a short distance ahead on your left.

    If you are feeling adventurous and want to enjoy the scenery, you can walk to Kauri Walk. Start from Paihia and head to the end of Marsden Road. Turn left onto State Highway 11. Follow the highway for about 10 kilometers until you reach the intersection with Waiare Road. Turn right onto Waiare Road and walk about 1.5 kilometers. The entrance to Kauri Walk will be on your left. This walk will take several hours and is recommended for those in good physical condition.
