From the Paihia Wharf, start by heading south on Marsden Road. Continue walking along Marsden Road for about 1 kilometer until you reach the intersection with Waitangi Road. At the intersection, turn right onto Waitangi Road. Keep walking straight for approximately 1.5 kilometers, and you will see signs directing you to the Waitangi Treaty Grounds. The Maori War Canoe is located near the entrance of the Treaty Grounds, which is located at 1 Tau Henare Drive, Waitangi. Follow the signs to the canoe once you arrive.

From Paihia, you can take a local bus service that operates between Paihia and Waitangi. Look for the bus stop near the Paihia Wharf and board the bus heading to Waitangi. The bus ride will take about 10-15 minutes. Once you arrive at the Waitangi Treaty Grounds stop, disembark and follow the signs to the Maori War Canoe, which is located near the entrance of the Treaty Grounds.
