Walking
Starting from the Timaru city center, head south on Stafford Street towards the intersection with Strathallan Street. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Theodosia Street. Turn left onto Theodosia Street and walk until you reach the southern end of Theodosia Street, where it intersects with King Street. Follow King Street south until you reach the intersection with the main road, State Highway 1. Cross at the pedestrian crossing and head towards the South Beach area. From here, follow the signs leading to South Beach Coastal Track.

Public Transport
From the Timaru city center, walk to the nearest bus stop on Stafford Street. Take the bus heading towards the south of Timaru that goes to Kensington. Alight at the Kensington stop. From there, walk south on Kensington Avenue until you reach the junction with State Highway 1. Cross the highway at the pedestrian crossing and follow the signs to South Beach Coastal Track.

Bicycle
If you have access to a bicycle, depart from Timaru city centre heading south on Stafford Street. Continue on Stafford Street until it merges with King Street. Follow King Street south towards the coastline. Once you reach State Highway 1, be cautious while crossing. After crossing, head towards the beach area, where you will find the entrance to South Beach Coastal Track.
