If you're in Whangarei city center, start at the Whangarei Art Museum located at 7a Rust Avenue. From there, walk northeast on Rust Avenue until you reach the intersection with Bank Street. Turn left onto Bank Street and continue until you reach the end, where it merges into Onerahi Road. Follow Onerahi Road, which will eventually turn into Ngunguru Road. Continue walking on Ngunguru Road for about 3.5 kilometers. You will see signs for Whangarei Falls; follow those signs, and the entrance to the falls will be on your left.
