Getting There

    From the center of Cowes, walk to the Cowes Jetty and take a ferry to San Remo. Once you arrive in San Remo, take Bus Route 788 towards Phillip Island. After about a 30-minute ride, get off at the Phillip Island Nature Park stop. From there, continue walking towards the coast and follow the signs to the Penguin Parade. The walk will take approximately 20 minutes. After enjoying the parade, you can head back towards the bus stop and take Bus Route 788 back to San Remo.

    From Cowes, take the local bus service (Route 4) towards Newhaven. Once you arrive in Newhaven, transfer to Route 788 which goes towards San Remo. The journey will take about 40 minutes. Get off at the Burnt Pine stop. From there, it's a short walk to Hands Up For Democracy located at Taylors Rd, Burnt Pine. Follow the signs or ask locals for directions if needed.

  • Bicycle

    Rent a bicycle at one of the local shops in Cowes. Start your journey by heading towards the Cowes Jetty and then ride along the coastal path towards the Penguin Parade. The scenic ride will take approximately 1 hour. After visiting the parade, continue riding towards Burnt Pine. Follow the main road, and you will find Hands Up For Democracy on Taylors Rd. The total riding distance is around 10 km.
