Public Transit
Start at the Asheville Bus Station, located at 49 Coxe Ave, Asheville, NC. Take the Route 170 bus towards Burnsville. The bus will take you along US-19/US-23. Stay on the bus for about 45 minutes until you reach the Burnsville Town Square. From the Town Square, walk west along E Main St for about 0.3 miles until you reach the intersection with Blue Ridge Pkwy. Turn left onto Blue Ridge Pkwy and walk for approximately 1 mile. The Black Mountains Overlook will be on your left.

Bicycle Rental
Rent a bicycle from one of the local shops in downtown Asheville, such as Asheville B-cycle, located at 30 College St. Ride north towards the Blue Ridge Parkway. Take the entrance ramp to the Parkway and ride along the scenic route. After about 11 miles, you will see signs for the Black Mountains Overlook, which will be on your right. The ride is moderately challenging, so be prepared for some uphill sections.

Walking
If you're feeling adventurous and up for a long hike, you can walk from downtown Asheville to the Black Mountains Overlook. Start at Pack Square Park in downtown Asheville. Head northeast on College St, then turn left onto Broadway St. Continue straight until you reach the Blue Ridge Parkway entrance. Follow the Parkway for about 12 miles, enjoying the beautiful views along the way. The overlook will be on your right. This is a strenuous walk and will take several hours, so make sure to wear comfortable shoes and bring water.
