Getting There

  • Walking

    Start at downtown Boone, specifically at the corner of King St and Depot St. Head south on Depot St for about 0.5 miles until you reach the intersection with Blowing Rock Rd (US-321). Cross the road carefully and continue straight onto Blowing Rock Rd. After approximately 1 mile, you will see the entrance to the Blue Ridge Parkway on your right. Enter the Parkway and follow the signs for Moses H. Cone Memorial Park, which is about 2.5 miles up the parkway. Look for Milepost 294, where the park entrance is located.

  • Public Transit (Bus)

    From downtown Boone, catch the Watauga County Transit bus (Route 1) that travels towards Blowing Rock. Make sure to check the bus schedule, as it may vary. Get off at the stop closest to the Blue Ridge Parkway entrance. From there, you will need to walk about 0.7 miles along the Parkway to reach Moses H.
