Walking
If you are in Uptown, head towards the intersection of 6th St and Tryon St. From there, walk west along 6th St. Discovery Place Science is located at 168 W 6th St, just a short 5-10 minute walk from the intersection. You will see the entrance to the museum on your left. Be on the lookout for the large signage indicating Discovery Place Science.

Public Transit (Light Rail)
If you are further away in Uptown, you can take the LYNX Blue Line Light Rail. Board the train at any of the Uptown stations. Get off at the 3rd St/Convention Center stop. From there, walk west on 3rd St until you reach W 6th St, then turn left and continue walking until you arrive at Discovery Place Science. The total travel time is approximately 15-20 minutes, including walking and waiting for the train. Note that a one-way fare on the Light Rail is $2.20.

You can also take the CATS bus service. Look for the nearest bus stop and check the schedule for routes that go to the 6th St area. Bus routes like 11, 16, or 22 may have stops nearby. Once you arrive at a stop close to 6th St, walk towards 168 W 6th St. Be sure to check the current bus fare, which is typically around $2.20 for a single ride.
