    If you are driving from Gatlinburg, head northeast on US-441 N (the Parkway) for about 5 miles. Turn left onto the Trillium Gap Trail entrance, which is well-marked. Park at the designated parking area before heading onto the trail. Please note that parking can fill up quickly, especially during peak season, so plan to arrive early.

  • Public Transportation

    To reach Grotto Falls via public transportation, you can take the Gatlinburg Trolley. Board the trolley at one of the designated stops in Gatlinburg and take the route towards the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. You will need to get off at the stop for the Sugarlands Visitor Center. From there, it's about a 5-mile drive to the Trillium Gap Trail entrance, so you may need to arrange for a taxi or rideshare service to get to the trailhead, where you can then hike to Grotto Falls.

    If you are already near the Trillium Gap Trail, start at the trailhead located on Trillium Gap Trail. The hike to Grotto Falls is approximately 2.6 miles one way.
