Getting There

• Walking

  If you're starting from downtown New Bern, head east on East Front Street towards Pollock Street. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Broad Street. Turn left onto Broad Street and walk until you reach the intersection with Broad Creek Road. Turn right onto Broad Creek Road. Continue walking on Broad Creek Road, and you will find Latham-Whitehurst Nature Park on your left at 1095 Broad Creek Rd. The walk is approximately 1.5 miles and should take about 30-40 minutes.

• Biking

  For those with bicycles, begin at the New Bern Riverwalk and head east towards East Front Street. Take East Front Street to Pollock Street and then turn left onto Broad Street. Follow Broad Street until you reach Broad Creek Road, where you will turn right. Continue biking along Broad Creek Road until you reach Latham-Whitehurst Nature Park located at 1095 Broad Creek Rd. The biking distance is about 1.5 miles, generally taking around 10-15 minutes depending on your pace.

  Though public transportation options are limited, you can take a local bus (if available) to a stop near Broad Creek Road. Check the local transit schedule for the closest bus stop and route.
