    From downtown Raleigh, head to the nearest bus stop and board the GoRaleigh bus #17 (North Raleigh). Stay on the bus until you reach the stop at 'Camp Durant Rd & Durant Nature Preserve'. The journey will take approximately 30 minutes. Once you get off the bus, walk about 0.2 miles north on Camp Durant Rd to reach the entrance of Durant Nature Preserve.

  • Bicycle

    If you prefer to bike, start at the Raleigh City Plaza. Head north on Fayetteville St, then take a left onto Peace St. Continue straight until you reach Capital Blvd. Use the bike lanes to navigate north on Capital Blvd, which becomes US-1. Turn left onto Durant Rd, then right onto Camp Durant Rd. Follow Camp Durant Rd for about 1 mile, and you will arrive at Durant Nature Preserve. The entire trip is approximately 8 miles and should take about 45 minutes to 1 hour, depending on your biking speed.

  • Walking

    Walking from downtown Raleigh to Durant Nature Preserve is a longer option. Start at the Raleigh City Plaza and head north on Fayetteville St. Continue straight onto Capital Blvd, then turn left onto Durant Rd. Walk along Durant Rd until you reach Camp Durant Rd, then take a right. The nature preserve entrance will be on your left. This walk is about 6 miles one way and will take approximately 2 to 2.5 hours.
