After that, take a right turn onto the entrance road for Little Missouri National Grassland. Follow the signs for Oxbow Overlook, which is located near the northeastern section of the grassland. There are no fees for entry into the grassland, but make sure to check for any park alerts that may affect your visit.

Currently, public transportation options are limited in this rural area. The nearest significant public transportation service is in Watford City, ND, which is about 30 miles away. From Watford City, it is advisable to rent a car or use a taxi service to reach the Oxbow Overlook. You can take ND-23 W to get to Little Missouri National Grassland. Once there, follow the same route as mentioned for car travel. Be aware that taxi services may incur additional costs.
