If you are driving from anywhere within Sheyenne National Grassland, head west on ND-200 towards I-29. Merge onto I-29 N and continue for approximately 45 miles. Take exit 66 for 32nd Ave S toward Fargo. Continue on 32nd Ave S, then turn left onto 25th St S. Finally, turn right onto 23rd Ave S, and the Red River Zoo will be on your left at 4255 23rd Ave S, Fargo, ND 58104. Parking is available on-site.

Public transportation options are limited in the rural areas surrounding Sheyenne National Grassland. However, if you can reach Fargo, you can take a bus from the Fargo bus terminal to the vicinity of Red River Zoo. First, travel to the Fargo bus terminal via local taxi or rideshare. From the bus terminal, you can catch a local bus that heads toward 23rd Ave S. Make sure to check the local bus schedules in advance, as they may vary. The zoo is approximately a 10-minute walk from the nearest bus stop.
