Nesaksla: The Hiking Haven of Åndalsnes

Getting There

• Bus

  To reach Nesaksla in Åndalsnes from Molde, start by heading to the Molde bus station located on Storgata. Look for the bus scheduled for Åndalsnes. The bus ride takes approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes. Once you arrive at the Åndalsnes bus station, exit the station and head east on Fv64. Follow the road for about 1.5 kilometers until you reach the Nesaksla trailhead, which will be marked along the way.

• Bicycle

  If you prefer cycling, you can rent a bicycle in Molde. Start from the city center and follow the signs towards Åndalsnes. The route will follow the Romsdalsfjord, providing beautiful views. The cycling distance is approximately 30 kilometers, and it may take around 2 to 3 hours depending on your pace. Upon reaching Åndalsnes, continue on Fv64 for about 1.5 kilometers to find the Nesaksla trailhead.

• Walking

  Walking to Nesaksla from Molde is quite a long journey, approximately 30 kilometers, and may take around 6 to 8 hours. If you are up for the challenge, start from the city center and head towards the waterfront, following the signs for Åndalsnes. You will be walking along the Romsdalsfjord. Make sure to bring water and snacks, as there are limited facilities along the way. Once you arrive in Åndalsnes, head east on Fv64 for about 1.5 kilometers to reach the Nesaksla trailhead.
