Car
If you are driving from the center of Trysil, head northwest on Trysilvegen. Continue on this road for about 5 kilometers. You will see signs for Brannvakthytta. Turn left onto a gravel road following the signs, and continue until you reach the parking area. Please note that parking may incur a small fee, so be prepared with cash or a card.
Public Transportation
To reach Brannvakthytta using public transportation, first take a local bus from the Trysil bus station towards Trysilfjellet. The bus ride takes about 15 minutes. Once you arrive at the nearest stop, you will need to walk approximately 1 kilometer along the marked trail to reach Brannvakthytta. Make sure to check the bus schedule in advance to plan your trip accordingly.
Walking
If you're already near the Trysil center, you can walk to Brannvakthytta. Start from the main square (Torget) and head northwest on Trysilvegen. After about 1.5 kilometers, you will find a trail leading to Brannvakthytta on your left. The walk will take you through scenic landscapes and should take roughly 25-30 minutes.
