If you are traveling by car, start from the Cuyahoga Valley National Park Visitor Center located at 1403 state Rd, Peninsula, OH 44264. Head south on State Rd towards Brecksville. After approximately 5 miles, you will arrive at the Brecksville Reservation entrance. Once inside, follow the signs to the Gorge Loop Trailhead. Parking is available near the trailhead. Be aware that parking may incur a small fee, typically around $5 for the day.

To reach Gorge Loop via public transportation, you can take the Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad. Board the train at the Peninsula station, which is accessible from various locations in the park. Get off at the Brecksville station, which is the closest stop to Gorge Loop. From the Brecksville station, you may need to walk approximately 1 mile to the Gorge Loop Trailhead. Make sure to check the train schedule in advance; ticket prices vary depending on the route but generally range from $5 to $15.

For those already within the park and looking for a more adventurous route, consider biking or walking from nearby trails. If you are near the Towpath Trail, you can cycle north towards the Brecksville Reservation. The trail is well-marked and offers scenic views along the way. Once you reach the Brecksville Reservation, follow the signs leading to the Gorge Loop Trailhead. Ensure you have a bike lock if you choose to bike, as there are bike racks at the trailhead.
