Getting There

  • Walking

    Start at the Sohar Corniche, which is a popular area and easy to find. From the Corniche, head west along the waterfront promenade towards the Al Hujrah area. Continue walking until you reach the main road (Sultan Qaboos Street). Cross the road carefully and continue walking west. After approximately 1 kilometer, keep an eye out for signs pointing towards Open Beach. The beach is just off the main road, and you can see the entrance marked with a small sign. Follow the path leading to the beach.

  • Public Transport (Bus)

    Find the nearest bus stop on Sultan Qaboos Street. Board a bus heading towards Al Hujrah. Inform the driver that you are going to Open Beach. The bus will take you along the main road, and you will need to get off at the closest stop to the beach sign. From there, it's a short walk (about 10 minutes) to the beach entrance. Follow the path that leads you directly to Open Beach.

  • Bicycle Rental

    If you're up for an adventure, consider renting a bicycle from one of the local rental shops near the Sohar Corniche. Once you have your bike, head west along the waterfront and then take the main road (Sultan Qaboos Street) heading towards Al Hujrah. It’s about a 3 km ride, and you’ll see signs for Open Beach along the way. Follow the signs to reach the beach.
