If you are driving from Portland, take I-84 East towards The Dalles. After about 20 miles, take exit 22 for Corbett. At the stop sign, turn left onto Historic Columbia River Hwy. Continue for about 3 miles until you see the signs for Shepperd's Dell State Natural Area on your right.

Public Transportation
To reach Shepperd's Dell State Natural Area using public transportation, take the TriMet MAX Light Rail Blue Line from downtown Portland towards Hillsboro. Get off at the Gateway Transit Center and transfer to the Columbia Gorge Express bus. Make sure to check the schedule for the bus that stops at Shepperd's Dell. The bus will take you along the Historic Columbia River Highway, and you will be dropped off near the entrance to the park.
