Getting There

  • Car

    From Rogue Valley, take I-5 North toward Medford. Continue on I-5 for about 30 miles until you reach exit 30 for OR-62 East toward Crater Lake. Follow OR-62 for approximately 60 miles. As you approach Crater Lake National Park, follow the signs to the park entrance. Once inside the park, continue on the Crater Lake Rim Drive until you reach the Rim Village Visitor Center. Note that there is an entrance fee of $30 per vehicle, valid for 7 days.

  • Public Transportation and Shuttle

    Take a Greyhound or other local bus service from Rogue Valley to Medford. From Medford, you can take a shuttle service to Crater Lake National Park. Be sure to check the shuttle schedule in advance, as service may vary by season. Once you arrive at the park, you can use the park’s shuttle system to reach Rim Village Visitor Center. Please be aware that the shuttle may require advance reservations during peak seasons.

  • Combination of Car and Hiking

    If you prefer a more adventurous route, you can drive to one of the nearby hiking trails such as the Cleetwood Cove Trail, which leads down to the lake shore. From Rogue Valley, follow the same route via I-5 and OR-62. After reaching the park, you can park at the Cleetwood Cove trailhead and hike down to the lake. After enjoying the views, you can hike back up and then drive to the Rim Village Visitor Center for visitor information and amenities.
