To reach Sky Lakes Wilderness from most locations in Rogue Valley, start by getting on I-5 North from your location in Medford or Ashland. Drive for approximately 30 miles until you reach Exit 33 for Klamath Falls. Merge onto OR-140 East. Continue on OR-140 for about 25 miles until you reach the city of Klamath Falls. Once in Klamath Falls, continue on OR-140 and then take a left onto OR-97 North. After driving for about 7 miles, look for signs leading to the Sky Lakes Wilderness area. Follow the signs and road markers to the designated trailheads. Be prepared for unpaved roads as you approach the wilderness area.
