For those using public transportation, you can take the Joseph-Wallowa Lake Shuttle if it is in operation during your visit. Check the shuttle schedule online or at local hotels for timing. The shuttle will take you to the Wallowa Lake area. From the shuttle drop-off point, you will need to walk approximately 0.5 miles along Wallowa Lake Hwy towards the Pack Station. Pay attention to the traffic as you walk on the side of the road. Confirm the shuttle fare when boarding, as costs may vary.

If you prefer to bike or walk, you can start from any location in Wallowa Lake. Follow the paved pathway along Wallowa Lake Hwy, heading northeast towards Joseph. It’s a scenic route, but be prepared for a distance of about 3 miles if you are walking. The Pack Station will be on your left side as you approach the address 59761 Wallowa Lake Hwy. Make sure you have water and sun protection, especially on warm days.
